It is not known whether a new diabetes drug, semaglutide, is an effective treatment for type 2 diabetes for persons with spinal cord injury (SCI), a population at higher risk for this condition. Therefore, this study looks at the effect of semaglutide on glucose levels in the body and other information about type 2 diabetes and obesity.

This clinical study is testing how the study medicine CagriSema helps people living with obesity, with or without type 2 diabetes (T2D), lose weight. The purpose of the study is to find out how safe and effective CagriSema is for body weight loss in these participants. Participants will receive either CagriSema or semaglutide, and which treatment participants receive is decided by chance. CagriSema is a new study medicine being tested, while semaglutide is a medicine that doctors can already prescribe. The study will last for about 83 weeks

This study is being conducted to find out how well zenagamtide works and how safe it is compared to insulin glargine in participants with type 2 diabetes who are at higher risk of heart and blood vessel problems and are already taking 1 to 3 diabetes medications. There are 2 study treatments in this study taken as injections under the skin once a week. Participants will either get zenagamtide, (the treatment being tested) or insulin glargine (a comparator) and which treatment participants get is decided by chance.
